Schedule Distractions
Check your phone to check your personal social media and text messages only at lunch time and after work hours. You don’t need to respond immediately to everything. You won’t miss out if you just wait a few hours.
Social media and conversing with friends and family can be very entertaining, but if you let those two things govern your agenda you won’t get anything done, ever!
If distractions are typically things you like and enjoy, why add guilt to them? Instead, use them as rewards.
Schedule a time for them and every time you feel tempted to check them compulsively, say to yourself: “Yes. I can do that, and I’ll just do it later “
You will enjoy them more, and go through your day without guilt.
