How to be a better artist
Do you want to be a better artist? Help others grow.
Helpful artists don't hoard, they share knowledge.
Helpful artists don't envy, they celebrate and promote others.
Helpful artists don't stay hidden, they tell the world about their products and services.
Helpful artists are always learning new skills, searching for new resources, and trying new approaches. They listen to podcasts, go to therapy, read books, find a mentor or a coach, take courses, engage in a community, watch videos, and immediately apply all that knowledge to their artistic work.
And because they are constantly helpful they experience growth from their efforts, receive recognition from their audience, and earn the respect from their clients.
Remember:
When you teach, you learn more and become recognized as a trusted source.
When you focus on solving a problem, you gain expertise and accumulate resources.
When you help people succeed, they recommend you to others.
It's inevitable to become a better artist when you are helpful. So focus on being helpful.
